Minutes for January 2025
Meeting called to order at 7:30 PM

No treasury reported for this meeting, treasurer on sick leave.
Hunters Safety POC provided to Simmons for confirmation of facility use for hunter education field day.
Range duty was allocated; Gerry for the 11th, Len the 12th, 25 and 26 covered by members.
Elections are to be held in April. A downrange letter will go out in the next 2 weeks to members. Ballots will go out then and nominations will go in by 27 January 2025.
The annual meeting will be moved to 26 April instead of June this year.
Ron Jones was contacted by an internet service provider. It was decided that he has the specific information in order to compare to our current provider contract so a comparison will need to be made to discuss for next month.
Len advised the person cleaning was sick and could not perform the last cleaning. Also, High School Pharmacy closed all their town charge accounts so need to directly buy supplies. Len will ask Sarah to provide a list of cleaning supplies needed so we can procure them.
The gate has been repaired.
Len asked if we should invest another 10k into a CD for the club. Was found a general quorum of the members is needed to use funds to invest.
NRA grant/funding for club improvements finding for 2025 will be issued in June or so.
A member inquired why some folks are left out at board meetings. It was noted by this Secretary that there is disagreement on this topic regarding open to all or invite only. Gerry advised that board meetings findings are presented to general members at monthly meetings and that folks are welcome to put their name in for the next board meeting as observers so that we need know who wants to go. Given that number, the venue may change since Corks residence cannot hold too many people, and it was found during covid times that limited contacts was utilized given the residence venue. It was requested that board meeting dates/times be posted/communicated.
Member presented that we need to increase meeting attendance in general. Also work parties should be incentivized.
Gerry advised that the Range Masters position is open for those interested in performing.
NRL and small bore POC is Wayne. The fun shoot this year may be held in June.
