General Meeting

Meeting called to order at 7:30 PM

Board members in attendance as follows:
Bill Pitman- VP, Gerry Simmons- Range Master, and Cindy Sacry – Secretary

Pres: Minutes from last month were approved.

Secretary- Cindy is still working on finding an upgraded card system but has not been able to get all the information. She will continue to investigate this issue.

Bill asked Cindy what the status was for QuickBooks. It was Cindy’s understanding that Melanie our Treasure was going to work on this issue.  Gerry will contact Melanie to find out her status.

Tresure report: Gerry provided the report for October and November.

Range Master-

1. Gerry also suggested that we obtain a 7-month CD for the money in the savings. All approved.
2. Gerry, Ron, Bill, and Gerry’s granddaughter worked on the grant for Friends of the NRA and was able to complete it and submit it.
3. There was discussion on how to promote youth interest in shooting. It was suggested that we might put an ad in the City Calendar.

VP- Bill wanted to thank the 4 people who came out for the work party. The Board would also like to thank those individuals who helped clean up the range. Thank you!

Range Duty: We will have Open to Range on the Saturday 9^th and Sunday the 10^th. We will not have Open to range on the Saturday the 23^rd and Sunday the 24^th due to the Christmas Holiday.

Silhouette– had 5 people come out.

Black Powder Cartridge Rifle Shoot – had 2 shooters. Bill said that he has had people bring up pistols, so he would like to rename it to Black Powder Cartridge shoot.

NRL Shoot-Wayne was out of town, but Skip covered the shoot, they had 8-10 people come out.

Military Shoot– had 2 people. Bill said due to lack of participants he decided to cancel the shoot.

Gun Shows:

1. St Helens’ Fairground on Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 9 AM- 5 PM and on Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 9 AM- 3 PM.
2. Oregon Arms Gun show in Portland on Sunday, December 17, 2023, from 7 AM – 12 PM

Other topics:

Today is December 7th which is Pearl Harbor Day.

Shotguns: you may use the shots on the main range, but you must shoot towards the bank. Not at the targets or tear up the grass area.
